Review on hair oils/serums (ENJOY,sexyhair,PAUL MITCHELL, and Organix)

I know this is my blog for motivation and tips about exercising and all things related BUT, I should just mention that I am in love with all things beauty as well! And I thought it would be fun to incorporate some product reviews since I seem to have a lot of beauty items!

I know what it's like to look for reviews on some things to get a second opinion and not find what you're looking for. I am a compulsive reviewer. So I HATE it when I am trying to look for reviews on something and there isn't one! Or maybe they don't explain it well, etc. So, I have decided to take it upon myself to do some of my own reviews in hopes to help out others who may be like me and searching for opinions.

I do buy new products more often than I should, but however, I BUY them myself. I do not receive them from the companies to review. I also will not go out of my way to purchase an item JUST to review it. Sorry but I do have a family to feed and as much as I would LOVE to do that, realistically I can't.

Okay so moving on! The products I am going to review today are:

-Organix smoothing shea butter liquid glass serum

-Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

-Sexyhair Frizz Eliminator Lite

-Enjoy Intensive hair and skin treatment oil

These are all oils/serums that I have tried more than once and I will give my unbiased opinion. I know there are TONS of girls who are looking for a good serum to smooth the flyaways down and leave your hair silky, shiny, and smooth. Hopefully I can help you decide :)

Starting with the LEAST expensive to MOST expensive:

Organix Smoothing Shea Butter Liquid Glass Serum:
-Price: $6.00
-Size: 4 fl oz.
-Product description: "Indulge your senses with this weightless creamy blend of shea butter and ultra whipped yogurt proteins to nourish and smooth your hair with avocado oils to create a smooth frizz-free shiny hair."

I had bought this a couple of years back at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (LOVE that store!) in hopes that it would give me the shiny smooth hair I was after. Because it smelled amazing and was decently priced, I decided to give it a whirl. First off let me say that the packaging is cute. I love how the bottle is clear and the description is on the front. The pump is really nice too. Although I feel it dispenses too much product out. Okay, did it leave my hair the way it said it would? No. Honestly, my hair looked oily! It looked like I hadn't showered in weeks! I was really disappointed that this product didn't work out because it seriously smells like heaven! It has a coconutty smell. But the product feels really heavy and thick in your hair. I find it weighes it down and just sits there on top of your hair cuticles. For the price it isn't that bad. And if you have extremely dry hair, this may not be that bad if you were just to put it on the ends. But if you're hair is normal and you are just looking for shine and frizz control, this is not for you.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
-Price: $19.00
-Size: 5.1 fl oz.
-Product description: "Spend more time living and less time styling. Super Skinny Complex helps smooth hair fast with reduced dry time. Helps control frizz and adds shine."

Now, this is a item that is raved about tremendously. Everyone has heard of this. Matter of fact, I feel like it's a go to. If you were to go in a salon and ask for a product to control frizz and add shine, nine times out of ten the FIRST thing they will point you to is this product. And I know why, because it does what it says! The packaging for this product also is awesome. I love that it's a clear bottle and that it comes with a lot of product. The lime green in the lettering and pump adds that perfect touch of color. The pump dispenses the perfect amount I feel like and sometimes you can even do one more pump. I used to use this product religiously. I tried it before on dry hair and it didn't look so great. It looked a little oily and didn't blend well. But, when you use it on damp hair, it really does leave your hair smooth and it has a nice shine to it. Not an oily shine, but a healthy shine. The smell is even BETTER than the Organix. It smells fruity and clean. This serum is more of a thin consistency so when you dispense it throughout your hair it doesn't feel heavy. Overall, I don't think I have any negatives about this product. This would be a great go-to if you're new to hair products. The price may seem intimidating but the product does last a while.

Sexyhair Frizz Eliminator Lite
-Price: $20
-Size: 4.2 fl oz.
-Product description: I have a trial size and it does not have a description :/

I had just gotten this product a couple of months back and I think I may have used it twice. I have a trial size of it and the packaging is nothing fancy. It is packaged like a conditioner bottle or shampoo bottle would be. I do like that it has a flip top so you can squeeze out how much product you want a little better. Although I do think the full size has a pump. This product I feel like is nothing special to me. I tried it and honestly I would rather stick with my Paul Mitchell. You can easily put too much in your hair and it will leave your hair looking oily. Not heavy oily but just...oily! It has no special smell to it. Doesn't really smell like much at all. Would I buy this product in full size? No. Just because I don't feel like it's that great.

Enjoy Intensive Hair & Skin Treatment Oil
-Price: $32.95
-Size: 3.4 fl oz
-Product description: "An intensive, non-greasy, dry formula that instantly infuses and absorbs into hair and skin dramatically reducing drying time. Smooth, condition, and seal with unparalleled shine. Eliminates frizz. Locks in moisture, blocks out humidity."

Where do I start with this product?! Well, you get what you paid for that's for sure. The price is outrageous but if I had to pick the best product out of them all, this one will be it hands down! It does exactly everything it says it does. The amazing thing is is that you can even use it on your skin. You can put it on your face and it will make your face baby soft. Though I wouldn't use it for that because of the price, it wouldn't last long. I'm not a fan of the packaging. It looks like a medicine bottle and the dispenser is NOT the best. It's has a twist off top and then the dispenser has several holes in it, so you can easily pour too much in your hand. It is a very thick product but does NOT leave your hair greasy at all, nor does your hair feel heavy. It also doesn't matter how much you put in your hair. I can put as much as I want and my hair still looks amazing. I apply about a nickel size to my ends and shafts and it gets absorbed into my hair leaving it soft, healthy, and shiny. Sometimes I do add more. I have bleached hair and I have to say that if it wasn't for me using this product, I would have to cut my ends off because they would be dry and useless. It sucks that the price is the highest of them all and you also get less product, but this would seriously be the one I would buy over the others. I have not used my Paul Mitchell since having this and I don't think I will ever again. Unless I run out of course. The smell is not bad but it's not the best either. It kind of smells like a lemon type of aromatherapy. I don't know how else to describe it. Once you put it in your hair you can't really smell it anymore so if you're not a fan of the smell then it's not too big of a deal.

Welp, that's my first review and I hope that I was able to help you make a decision. There are many more shine serums out there that are probably just as amazing as some of these. Unfortunately, I do not own everyone out on the market. But the ones I have are pretty common to come by and 2 of them would be great to try out! Thank you for reading and please comment, like, and/or subscribe!!!
