Review on MAC's Snob lipstick

This is by far (out of all of the MAC lipsticks I have tried so far) one of my FAVORITE lipsticks!!! MAC is a bit pricey and that's one thing I hate about them. But really, you can't go wrong with what they are most famous for, and that is their lipsticks! They have such a variety of colors and tons of different finishes so you are SURE to find one that YOU love. I have tried a handful of them and I do love a bunch of them, but I think Snob is my GO TO! I am more a "pink" lipstick girl. Lately I have been going with some bizarre colors that really pop on your lips too. I think it adds a nice pop of color to the face and def. makes your lips look attractive, ESPECIALLY if your lips are a little bit on the thin side (like mine *cough cough*).

THE PACKAGING

Well, all of MAC's lipsticks are packaged the same, unless it's the prolong wear ones ( I think that is what they're called). I must say that I LOVE their lipstick packaging. It's very sleek and it glides up and down effortlessly. The black adds a nice, sophisticated look to it as well. I have seen some pretty bulky lipstick packages and am very impressed with MAC's. They also have a label on the very bottom of each lipstick that has the lipsticks name and finish. Which is AWESOME! Because it's easy to forget the names of all the different lipsticks, which makes it hard to recommend the color if someone else is interested.


THE FINISH

MAC's Snob is a SATIN finish. It is not necessarily the most moisturizing lipstick, but it is not as drying as a matte lipstick either. A lot of people say that satin finished really enhance their chapped lips, but I don't think so. When you first put Snob on, it does kind of draw attention to the part of your lips that are peeling, but I almost feel like after it warms up on your lips, it turns a little creamy. Plus, you can always throw a lipgloss over top of it. What I like to do is put a moisturizing chapstick over my lips first and then apply Snob. That helps tremendously!

THE COLOR

Snob is the PERFECT pink, in my eyes that is! I think the MAC website describes Snob as a "neutral" pink, but I think it is more of a blue toned pink which goes well with my pale skin. If you are more on the darker side, then it would look more like a bright pale pink against your skin tone. For me, it just looks like a nice bright, but not too bright pink. You can always tone it down by applying a thin layer instead of a thick layer. This color is not quite an "OMG look at that crazy color she is wearing on her lips" but more of a wearable, on the verge of being a crazy color, pink! If THAT makes sense. I wouldn't consider this an "everyday" color, as it does not go well with every face combination (eyeshadow choices, blushes, etc). Snob is more of a color you wear if your eyes aren't too done up and your make up isn't too heavy looking. Of course, you can always tone it down by applying a nude lipstick over top of it. Sometimes I apply E.L.F.'s Mineral lipstick called Natural Nymph over top of it and it turns into that PERFECT nudey pink.


HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

I have worn this color so often and I have never had a problem (or at least I haven't noticed it) with it wearing off. Of course, it does, but it is not noticeable. It fades very nicely. Which, any lipstick that fades naturally is a friend of mine! I would say it lasts for a couple of hours before you may have to apply another layer. I haven't really noticed how long it last, which is def. a good thing!


OVERALL REVIEW


 Overall, I would give this lipstick a 10. I have no problem with the color, packaging, wearability, finish, or anything for that matter. It is very true to color and leaves no surprises! The cost is a little high ($15.00) but MAC has an amazing program where you turn in 6 empty containers and you receive a free lipstick or eyeshadow. So to me, it is worth the investment!
